We spotted this place when driving home from Indianapolis a few weeks ago so I snapped a picture of it as it looked interesting.

From their website at 8 Second Saloon it appears to be a small country concert venue/bar and when I looked at their seating chart it reminds of the main stage of  Piere’s (or at least how it used to be years ago as I haven’t been there since in about a dozen years or more),

I am not a big country fan, despite Marv telling Kyle that he likes country music so much because I listened to it all the time when I was pregnant, but they appear to  offer free dance lessons on certain nights with admission.

The upside to smaller venues is if you get there early and get a good seat and it is not too crowded, the music is a more intimate experience.   My old roommate Janet and I went to a Slash’s Snakepit concert and we had a table near the edge and it was amazing to watch such a skilled guitar player as Slash in action.   Another is it might be cheaper than other larger venues; locally it used to be $5-$15 per ticket cheaper.

The downside to a smaller venue is if you get there late or it is too crowded, often there is no seating and you might be stuck on the floor in the back and barely be able to see anything and if you try to get closer, there always seem to be someone behind you pushing and spilling their drink all over you and can be hot, sticky and miserable.
