K-Mart South is closing at the end of the year and over half of the stores shelves are now empty.

This K-Mart had been a integral part of our lives for many years, especially when we lived a Southbridge Apartments because at that time, it was the closest place to pick up a gallon of  milk, pop or shop for anything.  Not to mention they are one of the few stores that carry the wide width shoes that I would still drive across town to buy as we have wide feet.

There are a lot of memories there.   I took Kyle to have is baby pictures taken there, we would go trick or treating on Halloween, visit Santa a Christmas or attend a promotion event like Oreo Stacking.

I am sad to see it go, but unfortunately most of their business was lost when Walmart moved in across the highway and they were not able to compete with their prices.
