Kyle showed me this on Facebook and I had to look up more about it as it looks futuristic and Dr. Seussish all the same time.
It is a concept by for + Electrolux Design Lab finalists by a Russian designer Yuriy Dmitriev using some sort of biopolymer luminiscent gel to cool that is non-sticky and orderless and the food insert into then surrounded by the gel and doesn’t require electricity or other means to cool as the gel somehow does it without it.
As you can see by the picture on the bottom right it doesn’t take up much space and can be hung on the wall or even on the ceiling if this concept becomes a reality it could be a good option for a tiny home, apartment or camper where space is limited. Would just have to get over feeling like like it was the premise to a horror movie or that Bartholomew’s Ooobek has taken control over dairy case items.
