I decided to try one of Fazoli’s new Italian House Salads off of their lighter options menu, which has items under 550 calories and cost $5.99.

It is Romaine and Iceberg lettuce topped chopped meats (seemed like salami or pepperoni and ham), dice tomatoes, black olives, banana peppers and Mozzarella cheese.

On the particular salad, the tomatoes were a little overly ripe like they had been sitting around awhile.  We get salads all the time when we get the Family Meal deal for years and this is the first time this has happened, which makes me suspect they are made up ahead of time instead of made fresh when ordered.

This is similar to a pasta salad they used to serve that I loved, but it just is not quite the same without the pasta for me, but it is an interesting mix of textures and flavors that were good.
