The pic is from when we had dinner at the  Chrome Plated Diner in Fort Wayne, IN and this was my second visit and  Marv tagged along as I advised they have an all-you-can-eat fish dinner on Friday nights for under $10 and as you can see by the pic, he was very happy about this.

This was his first visit and he, like Kyle, loved the car themed decor.    Since I had been there last there are more decorations on the wall and the waitresses now wear 50’s style felt circle “poodle” skirts, called that as in the 50’s they had a poodle embroidered or appliquéd on, but many times it was an image of something else but still called a “poodle” skirt (info courtesy of my Mom who graduated in the 50’s from high school).

Marv liked the fish, which was Alaskan Pollock.  I had the Chopped Sirloin, which was a very generous portion topped with fresh chopped peppers and onions and the choice of one side and I got the cole slaw, which was ok but not my favorite.

The best part was desert; we split a piece of Coconut Cream pie which was heavenly.    Marv so impressed he asked the waitress where they bought it from and she advised it was made fresh by her mother-in-law.
