We were driving around last week in and we were attracted by the bright blue building to stop in and check it out.

We could smell the smoker going once we got out of the car and that sealed the deal to go in and check out the goodies inside.

Albrights Meat & Deli  is a local deli and they have another location up North, but we had never been to either before.   Inside when we got a cart there were two small shopping carts with plastic food inside to let the little shoppers feel like they were shopping along, which I thought was really cool and would have been something my son would have loved when he was little.

There were refrigerated cases that lined the left and back wall and the center aisle had pre-packaged products, spices, rubs and sauces.

I ended up buying a pound of Sweet and Sour Slaw for $1.99 as well as 1/2 half pound of Smoked Egg Salad and 1/2 lb of bacon for 2.99.   We haven’t tried the back yet, but both were delicious.

The slaw was crisp and fresh with the dressing not being either too sweet or to vinegary as many deli case salads seem to be.

The Smoked Egg Salad  was a unique treat with the eggs having been smoked and having the hickory infused flavor giving the sandwiches a little something extra with combined with the mayo and celery and onion.

Just based on the salads alone, it is a place I will shop at again in the future and try different items to see if I like them just as much.
