Old Tyme Trolley

We spotted this trolley in a Walgreen parking lot and stopped in to  have a closer look.   I apparently was for a wedding party from the sign on the back of the trolley.

The side of the trolley at the top indicated “Reading and Berks Trolley Works Trolley”.  In researching later it could be either a refurbished or reproduction of the the trolleys that were popular in Berks County in Reading, PA in the early part of 1900’s before there were buses.

This trolley appeared to be a liquor stop as we saw a guy in a suit come out of the store and get back on the trolley.   Not sure it was needed as they looked like the riders were having fun without it.

If fact, they looked like they were having so much fun, I might have to put this on my bucket list.

From what I could find on the net, it appears the only place in the area that rents them is Club Car Limousine and Trolley and they have 5 star reviews on SuperPages.com.
