Abandoned Bar Area at Quaker Steak and Lube

When packed this looked like a fun area, but as the restaurant closed recently will never get to find out now.

We had only been to Quaker Steak and Lube twice, once when it first opened for Kyle’s Birthday (I believe it was his 18th Birthday) in the dining room and one other time a few months later upstairs.   The food was pretty decent, but they were higher priced that other places in the area that offered similar items  and service needed improvement.   There were also several televisions on that were loud and when downstairs you had to try to talk over them.

I think it tried to be to many things things…a family restaurant also with a happening sports bar.  It was also a car theme restaurant but instead of encouraging car shows, encouraged motorcycle business.

Kyle said he heard they only did well on Wednesday”Bike Night” but due to the rise nationwide of bike gang violence they did away with that and they didn’t make enough to stay open.

  1. it looked like a fun place but I have/had never eaten there. I don’t know where I was or what I was doing on Kyle’s birthday that I couldn’t make it there.

  2. I thought it was a place to get your oil changed while you drank up your paycheck
