Marv loaned me this painting that had been on this brother’s (Tom) wall when he died and he was left to deal with the estate and final arrangements many years ago.

A friend of Tom’s that worked at Hardee’s decorated his place at Horace Mann Apartments where he had a studio apartment so I am guessing it was from Goodwill or a garage sale.

It fits in perfectly with my thrifted 7 foot long couch.  The painting is very large – probably 6 feet wide and 4 feet tall and would never work with a shorter couch.  It picks up the colors in the couch and as an added bonus, it has glitter.

In trying to find information on the artist, was not able to find much, except that he was very prolific as there were a lot of listings on Ebay starting at $75 and works ranged from the mid-70’s on.

One website indicated he created “Abstract impressionistic painting that include a with a knife pallet for texturing”.

AskArt indicated the following:

“Stephen Kaye was active/lived in Ontario.  Stephen Kaye is known for large abstract floral still life, landscape and portrait painting.”
