From Kindergarten to sixth grade, I used to play on the playground.  Although he equipment has changed, with the exception of the wooden climbing thing on the right, it is basically the same with layout.  The big slide near the tree in the middle, that used to be scary as it was so far and kids were known to have fallen off and break their arms, so I didn’t go on it until I was in the upper grades.  I mostly used to play on the swing on the right and the merry-go round behind that is barely visible in the far right corner.

When I was a kid there was a wire fend in the background that went the length in back beyond the houses, but only half of that seems to remain.   When it was nice out we would cut through the past the merry go ground and past to the end of the fence, which is about where the utility pole in on the right in the background coming or going to school, but not in the winter as the snow would blow against the fence and it would be impassible.

To the left is a basketball court and at the time it was more for the older boys and they were mean so I didn’t bother.  The only time I ever went on it was in high school during Summer Festival when worked at the local nursing home and joined some of the adult women that worked there in a “Water ball” competition, which turned out to be trying to hold a fire hose and use it to push a ball over to the competitor’s side.  It was fun, but it was harder than I had thought it would be, although I don’t recall if we won or lost.
