This is one of the two remaining bakery outlets left in town.   They offer a variety of discounted baked goods; typically they have bread, buns and rolls along with some sweet baked goods, but selections vary.

It is great if you are on a budget as the cost usually less than at a grocery store and I have never gotten anything that was spoiled or tasted stale.   They sometimes have older bread that is marked primarily for “bird” food on the rack that is a little stale, but it is much cheaper ,I think the last time I bought it that it was 3 or 4 loaves for $1, that can be used in meatloaf or meatballs or toasted with gravy on top and it is not noticeable.

I have been going to this location for over 10 years and during period of unemployment I bought a lot of bread here.   Fortunately my sons loved grilled cheese toasties, although he seems to have acquired a taste for the less expensive processed cheese product because when I made one with more expensive cheddar for the deli had said it tasted funny and preferred the thin cheese that was wrapped in the little squares.

On this visit they were running a promotion where if you bought $6 worth of items you could pick out one item on the .49 cent table for that price.

On this visit I bought 2 bags of pita pockets for $1 each, which is almost half of what you would pay at a grocery store. They are good cut up an dipped in hummus, or you can cut it in half and stuff lunch meat, cheese or salad for a quick bite.   They also make great instant pizzas with a little sauce on top (lately I have been using jarred salsa sprinkled with Italian Seasoning), a topping of your choice and popped in the microwave for minute or two or if you prefer a crispier bread, put it in a pre-heated oven on 350 degrees for a 5-6 minutes  until the cheese melt.

If you have an outlet near where you live, I would recommend checking it out.
